Our Work in Action

A selection of projects where CRCS has delivered independent inspections, condition reporting, remediation planning, and cost guidance for commercial roofing assets across Australia.

Memorial Complex, Pasadena, South Australia roofing inspection

Memorial Complex, Pasadena, South Australia

A consulting engineering firm engaged CRCS to assess the condition of the roofing across a large memorial complex in Pasadena, South Australia, and identify the remedial works required. The site comprised numerous roof areas of differing construction and condition, creating a need for a clear understanding of where maintenance and replacement should be prioritised.

CRCS carried out a detailed visual inspection of the roof sheeting, gutters, flashings, cappings, and penetrations, documenting deterioration and areas requiring attention. Our report provided practical remediation recommendations and gave the client a structured basis for planning maintenance, addressing higher-risk defects, and preserving serviceable roofing where replacement was not yet necessary.

Multi-Sports Leisure Centre, Cheltenham, Victoria roofing inspection

Multi-Sports Leisure Centre, Cheltenham, Victoria

A consulting engineering firm, acting on behalf of a local council, engaged CRCS to assess the basketball facility roofs at a large multi-sports leisure centre in Cheltenham, Victoria, as part of a broader review of the site's future. The client needed to understand whether the existing facilities had sufficient remaining service life to justify retaining and investing in them, or whether replacement and redevelopment represented the better long-term option.

CRCS completed a comprehensive drone inspection across four roof areas, assessing condition, workmanship, and the expected remaining service life of the major roofing components. We identified the defects and maintenance requirements that would need to be addressed if the buildings were retained, while also establishing that significant portions of the roofing remained serviceable. Our findings gave the client practical evidence to inform the wider retain, refurbish, or rebuild decision and the likely future investment required in the existing facilities.

Aquatic Centre, Fortitude Valley, Queensland roofing inspection

Aquatic Centre, Fortitude Valley, Queensland

A consulting engineering firm engaged CRCS to assess the existing roofing at a major aquatic centre in Fortitude Valley, Queensland, and establish what work was required to maintain the facility over the short and medium term. With six roof areas of varying age and condition, the client required more than a defect list. They needed an understanding of remaining roof life, remediation priorities and likely expenditure.

CRCS combined drone and physical inspection of accessible areas to assess roof condition, drainage, flashings, penetrations, and other roofing components. We developed prioritised remediation recommendations, separated works into short- and medium-term requirements, and provided indicative cost estimates. This gave the client a clear framework for addressing immediate risks while planning future maintenance and renewal expenditure.
